Johnston Oils Club Update

UPDATE - August 2026

Sadly, the issues around the conflict between Iran and USA/Israel continues to frustrate the pricing with many members opting, understandably, to the 500L orders. It would be foolish to forecast when this issue will be resolved and it has meant that we have to await final order placement before we can issue a firm delivery price.

The Oil Club was formed in December 2013 with 13 members and at the close of our last trading year ending November 2025 that membership had grown to 284. It is run in conjunction with Johnston Oils who not only offer us a discounted rate on the volumes we place but on a quarterly basis make a further donation to our community fund of 1p per litre. This donation as at August 2026 had raised £54,180.55 of which Ballater Community Trust through the Johnston Oil Fund had supported local projects with £47,534.64 of donations.  These range from a small sum to enable groups to run a meeting or procure school garden equipment and materials up to larger sums.
